Elise Brammer BMus (Hons)

 

 

Elise Brammer, originally from West London, studied at Queens University Belfast graduating in 2014 with a First Class BMus Honours Degree studying voice under the tutelage of International Soprano Dr. Angela Feeney. Since then she has gone on to study at Ulster University in Coleraine to attain her PGCE in Music Post Primary teaching and will be completing her time there in June 2016.

 

In 2009 she was part of the Twyford CofE Gospel choir winning BBC school choir of the year and was invited to sing at St Pauls Cathedral and the Royal Hampton Court for Desmond Tutu. She went on to gain her grade 8 singing with ABRSM with distinction.

 

She has played the role of Barberina in The Marriage of Figaro with the Candlelight Opera Company in Charter House and was in the Children’s chorus of Woodhouse Opera’s Hansel and Gretel.  More recently she has played the role of Dido in Queens University’s production of Dido and Aeneas.

 

In September 2014 she started a new all age Community Choir in Belfast called “Love to Sing” and a Community choir in St Andrew’s Glencairn estate. Since moving to Belfast, Elise has taken part in many Festivals including both Ballymena and Holywood Music Festival. She received most promising voice of the Adult vocal class in 2012 and was a first prize winner for the soprano solo vocal class. As well as this she came second place in the Northern Ireland singer class and Female vocal.

 

She is extremely passionate about teaching singing and believes everyone has a voice to sing.
